D. Marriage and Family
is ordained by God for the ordering of the human family in love and discipline and, therefore, should be entered into with reverence. Marriage is a lifelong commitment and should not be broken. If divorce occurs the local meeting should offer restorative ministry for all family members. Persons who have divorced but are living consistent Christian lives should not be hindered from being members of the meeting with all rights and privileges. (See Marriage and the Home)
