J. Capital Punishment
The Bible emphasizes the sanctity of human life and the worth of each person before God. Friends believe capital punishment (the death penalty) to be a preemptive judgment of the authority of God as the righteous Judge over all of life. Friends are encouraged to seek or endorse alternative methods of punishment for violent crimes.
